Start a conversationOne vision, zero guesswork.
Every remodeling contractor in Palo Alto project runs through the same three-phase discipline: assess, design, build, so you always know what's happening and why.
Property Assessment & Vision Mapping
We walk the property, talk through what you want out of the space, and translate that into a concrete scope, complete with permit requirements and a working budget range before anything is drawn up.
Plans, Materials & City Sign-Off
Design gets locked, materials get chosen, and plans move through the City of Palo Alto's review process. We track every submission so approval doesn't stall your start date.
Ground-Up Construction
Our crew takes it from there, framing, systems, finishes, and a final inspection walkthrough, so what you approved on paper is exactly what you get in person.

What Palo Alto clients want to know first.
Palo Alto homes come with their own set of considerations. Here are the questions that come up most before ground ever breaks.
Do you handle projects that require review from Palo Alto's Architectural Review Board?
Yes. Certain additions and exterior changes in Palo Alto require ARB or historic preservation review depending on the neighborhood and scope of work. We identify whether your project falls under that process during the initial assessment and prepare the required materials so it doesn't add unexpected time to your schedule.
How do you handle projects on lots with mature trees or protected landscaping?
Palo Alto has specific protections for certain tree species and heritage trees, and construction near a protected tree's root zone often requires special permitting or an arborist report. We survey the lot early on so we know exactly what we're working around before design even begins.
I want a modern addition on a mid-century home. Will it look out of place?
Not necessarily. A lot of our Palo Alto clients want a contemporary addition on an older home, and done well, it can work as an intentional contrast rather than a mismatch. We'll show you material and massing options during design so you can decide how bold or subtle that contrast should be.
Can you work around a rental tenant or in-law living on the property during construction?
In most cases, yes. We plan phasing and access points to keep occupied parts of the property livable, and we'll flag upfront if a specific phase, like utility work, will require a temporary disruption so everyone can plan around it.
What's your process for choosing subcontractors, and do you vet them yourself?
We work with a vetted bench of licensed subcontractors we've used on prior projects rather than sourcing new crews per job. Every sub on-site is insured and accountable to us directly, so quality control stays consistent from the electrician to the finish carpenter.
If I'm planning to sell in a few years, does the addition affect resale value?
Generally, yes, well-executed additions and updated kitchens or baths tend to hold value in this market, especially when they're permitted correctly and blend with the home's existing character. We're happy to talk through which upgrades tend to matter most to future buyers versus which are purely for your own enjoyment.
